This painting was composed from a photo of a university friend at an 80s night back in 2009. The reason I chose this photo to paint from was the soft lighting over the face, presenting a sharp contrast from the brashness of the Disney-themed jacket. The title, “Phase”, emanates from the name of the student club-night.
