The subject, Dominic, is a professional life model (who was also the subject for my piece “Grey Man”). Dom is a wonderful model to work with, as each of his poses suggests a certain mood and leads the observing artist to react in a suitable style.

The primary sketch for the piece was fast, completed in less than 10 minutes, with this painting completed after the sitting at my studio.
